Comparison review

Sony Xperia XZ3 is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone 4, having a global score of 79.6 against 74.2. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia XZ3 has 9.0 Pie version while Asus ZenFone 4 has Android 8.0 Oreo, giving lots of additional features and performance tweaks. The Sony Xperia XZ3 body is newer than the Asus ZenFone 4's, but it is heavier and notably thicker.

Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with just a bit better performance than Asus ZenFone 4. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit. Sony Xperia XZ3 has a little sharper display than Asus ZenFone 4, because although it has less bright screen, it also counts with a higher display density, a way higher 1440 x 2880 resolution and a little bigger display.

The Asus ZenFone 4 counts with a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Asus ZenFone 4 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB. Sony Xperia XZ3 features a battery life that's very similar to Asus ZenFone 4's battery performance, although the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a 3330mAh battery capacity against 3300mAh.

Sony Xperia XZ3 has a slightly better camera than Asus ZenFone 4, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low light photography, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also counts with a larger sensor taking better quality pictures and a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.

Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Asus ZenFone 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus ZenFone 4. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Asus ZenFone 4, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
