Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 has a score of 78.3, which is a little bit better than Asus ZenFone 5Q's score of 72.6. The Xperia XZ1 body is a little bit thinner and a bit lighter than Asus ZenFone 5Q, although both of them were released only 9 months apart. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a bit sharper screen than Asus ZenFone 5Q, because although it has a bit smaller display and a bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display.
Asus ZenFone 5Q and Sony Xperia XZ1 have really similar memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, they have exactly the same internal storage and an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Xperia XZ1 features a bit better CPU than Asus ZenFone 5Q. Both of them have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM memory.
Xperia XZ1 counts with a slightly better camera than Asus ZenFone 5Q, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia XZ1 also has a larger aperture for better low-light images and a back-facing camera with more mega pixels.
Asus ZenFone 5Q counts with longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh.
Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus ZenFone 5Q, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus ZenFone 5Q. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Xperia XZ1, else you can save some money and get the Asus ZenFone 5Q, resigning some features and specs.
