Comparison review

The Xperia 5 is a bit better than Asus ZenFone 5z, with a overall score of 81 against 75.3. Although the Xperia 5 is just a bit thicker than the Asus ZenFone 5z, it's a little lighter and also newer. The Xperia 5's CPU is just as good as the CPU in Asus ZenFone 5z, and although the Xperia 5 has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.

Asus ZenFone 5z features a little more vivid display than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a little bit worse screen pixel density and a bit worse 1080 x 2246 resolution, it also counts with a bit larger display. Asus ZenFone 5z counts with a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Xperia 5, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB and more internal memory.

Asus ZenFone 5z has a little better battery performance than Sony Xperia 5, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh. The Xperia 5 shoots greater videos and photos than Asus ZenFone 5z, because although it has worse video frame rate and a tinier sensor taking worse quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia 5 also counts with a bigger aperture for better low light images.

Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus ZenFone 5z, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus ZenFone 5z. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Asus ZenFone 5z, resigning some features and specs.
