Comparison review
Xperia XZ3 is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone 5z, getting a 79.6 score against 75.3. Although Xperia XZ3 is a better phone than Asus ZenFone 5z, we must highlight that it is also a a lot thicker and somewhat heavier phone. The Asus ZenFone 5z counts with just a little better processing power than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Asus ZenFone 5z also has 4 GB more RAM memory.
The Xperia XZ3 features a bit better looking display than Asus ZenFone 5z, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2880, a better screen pixel density and a little brighter display. The Xperia XZ3 takes greater videos and photos than Asus ZenFone 5z, because although it has lower video frame rate and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for low light images and videos, and they both have the same video quality, the Xperia XZ3 also counts with a bigger sensor.
Asus ZenFone 5z counts with much more storage to store more games and applications than Xperia XZ3, because it has a SD card slot that holds up to 1,95 TB and 256 GB internal storage. The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a battery lifetime that's very similar to the Asus ZenFone 5z one, although the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a 3330mAh battery capacity against 3300mAh.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Asus ZenFone 5z, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus ZenFone 5z. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Asus ZenFone 5z, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
