Comparison review
The Asus ZenFone 8 has a general score of 83, which is just a bit better than the Xperia 5's 81 overall score. Even though the Asus ZenFone 8 is newer than the Xperia 5, it's just a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker. Asus ZenFone 8 counts with a little sharper display than Xperia 5, although it has a just a bit inferior pixel number in each inch in the screen, a little bit smaller screen and a little worse resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The Xperia 5 features a processing unit that's very similar to the Asus ZenFone 8 one, they have a 6 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. Sony Xperia 5 features a way bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Asus ZenFone 8, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 512 GB.
Asus ZenFone 8 counts with a way better camera than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and video, it also counts with a lot bigger camera sensor which offers a way higher image and video quality, a way better 7680x4320 video definition and a way more megapixels back-facing camera.
The Asus ZenFone 8 has greater battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has a 27% bigger battery size.
