Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy J7 Max has the newer 7.0 Nougat version and Asus Zenfone 9 has Android 12 version. Galaxy J7 Max is an a lot older and a bit heavier device than Asus Zenfone 9, but Samsung managed to make it thinner anyway.
