The Moto Z2 Play is a little bit better than Asus ZenFone AR, having a 77.4 score against 77.4. Although the Moto Z2 Play and Asus ZenFone AR were only released with a couple of months difference, the Moto Z2 Play is noticeably thinner and somewhat lighter. Asus ZenFone AR features a slightly better looking display than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a better 1440 x 2560 resolution, a better pixels density and a bit bigger display.
The Asus ZenFone AR counts with a quite bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have an external memory card slot that allows up to 1,95 TB, the Asus ZenFone AR also has more internal memory. Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a little better hardware performance than Asus ZenFone AR, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and they are faster).
Asus ZenFone AR counts with just a little bit longer battery life than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 10 percent more battery size. Asus ZenFone AR shoots a bit better videos and photos than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has lower video frame rates and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for low light captures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Asus ZenFone AR also counts with a camera with a much higher 23 mega-pixels resolution.
