Google Nexus 5 has a global score of 76, which is a little bit better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1)'s general score of 73.1. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Google Nexus 5 has the previous 4.4.3 version and Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Although Google Nexus 5 is way older and just a bit thicker than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), it's construction is still way lighter.

The Google Nexus 5 has a little more vivid screen than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because although it has a bit smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080, it also counts with a just a little better screen pixel density. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) features a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Google Nexus 5, because it has an external memory slot that supports up to 1,95 TB and more internal storage capacity.

Google Nexus 5 counts with a little better performance than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and lesser cpu cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with a better camera than Google Nexus 5, because it has a bigger aperture, a much better video resolution and a lot higher 13 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) features a much better battery duration than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 2300mAh.

Although Google Nexus 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Google Nexus 5, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), giving up a couple specs and features.
