Google Nexus 5 Review

Google Nexus 5 is a breath-taking device launched in 2013, which features a 5" touch-screen, a 2260 megahertz Quad-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front facing camera.

While this cellphone is only 5.43 inches long and 2.72 inches wide, it manages to pack a 5" display. This device is incredibly thin and stilized, with a thickness of just 0.34". Google sells this phone in three colors, black, red and white. This phone is much lighter than what you would expect from a phone of this size.

This phone is equipped with an absolutely amazing 5-inches screen with a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, giving this phone an amazing graphic quality. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

Google decided to power this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 chip, backed up by a great 2260 megahertz Quad-Core CPU and a large 2 GB RAM memory. Graphic intensive tasks generally consume lots of processing power, so it counts with an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit clocking at 450 megahertz to improve overall performance. A key advantage of this cellphone is its astonishing 32 GB internal storage memory and though it doesn't include a slot for SD memory cards, it it is more than enough to store lots of apps, games, songs, pictures and videos without worrying about how much storage capacity is left.

This phone offers wifi capability (which it can provide to other devices around, acting as a router or modem), 4G (LTE) fast connectivity and also HSPA+ connection type, which is a bit slower 4G network and fast 3G data connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Google Nexus 5 uses a Micro SIM card for GSM services and it can connect to both CDMA and GSM carriers.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. This phone also captures videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 fps. In addition, the camera has a high number of cool features: flash, auto-focus, fast burst mode, optical image stabilization, face detection shooting, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This cellphone packs a 2300 mAh massive Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery that provides this phone an average battery duration. This cellphone has an aproximate stand by time of 300 hours and a talk time of 17 hours. An issue to take into account is that this phone's battery isn't replaceable so you can't buy a new battery when it begins losing capacity, while with so much capacity you will probably replace this phone before that becomes an issue.

The Google Nexus 5 also features a wide range of useful features like Wireless charger compatibility, Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth cellphones, computers and accessories) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

The Google Nexus 5 is very overpriced considering it costs $ 480, and many similar phones are a lot cheaper than that. It doesn't matter whether you are an amateur photographer, will use it as a gamer device, need it for work or will use this cellphone majorly for social networks, you will probably be very satisfied with it.
