Google Nexus 5 Review

Google Nexus 5 is a top-notch device launched in October 2013, packing a pretty big 5" multi touch display, a high speed 2.26 GHz Quad-Core processor, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front facing camera.

Google decided to build this cellphone with a very powerful 2260 MHz Quad-Core processor, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 chip and a great 2 GB RAM memory. To help with graphic calculations, it also has a 450 megahertz Adreno 330 GPU. A great point of this cellphone is the 32 GB huge internal storage and though it doesn't count with an external SD slot, it it is more than enough to store hundreds of applications and even the heaviest games available nowadays without having to worry about how much storage capacity is left.

This phone is extremely slim and stilized, being just 0.34 inches thick. The Google Nexus 5 is a very compact device, taking into account that it packs a 5" display and it's just 5.43" long and 2.72 inches wide. Google did a very good job making this phone weight just 4.59 oz. The Google Nexus 5 is offerred in three colors, black, red and white.

Google designed this phone with a gorgeous 5 inches screen, and a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, which makes all images and videos look completely perfect. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The Google Nexus 5 has wifi connectivity (and it can be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) fast connection type and also HSPA+ data connection, that is a bit slower 4G network and fast 3G connectivity, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a Micro SIM card to use GSM services and it can connect to both GSM and CDMA.

This cellphone has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 1.3 megapixels front camera. This cellphone also captures videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 frames per second. Additionally, this device's camera also includes lots of useful characteristics: flash, fast burst mode, auto-focus, optical image stabilization, face detection shooting, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This cellphone has an incredible 2300 mAh Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery, which isn't very much for a device like this. This phone has an estimated 300 hours stand by time and a 17 hs talk time. An issue to evaluate is that this cellphone's battery is non-replaceable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts losing capacity, even though with such a great capacity you will probably buy a new phone before that becomes an issue.

This device also comes with many cool characteristics like Wireless charger compatibility, NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

Google offers this cellphone for 480 dollars, which is a high price for comparing with similar devices. This cellphone is definitely very appropiate for you if you will use this phone for work, you love taking photos, need a phone mostly for internet broswing and social networks or are looking for a device to play games.
