Google Nexus 5 Review

Google Nexus 5 is a breath-taking cellphone released back in the year 2013, counting with a comfortable 5 inches multi-touch capacitive display, a very fast Quad-Core processing unit speeding at 2260 MHz, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 1.3 MP front side camera.

This phone is much lighter than what you would expect from a device like this. Being just 0.34" thick,this cellphone is slim and good-looking. The Google Nexus 5 is quite a compact device, taking into consideration it has a 5 inches display and it only has 5.43" long and 2.72" wide. The Google Nexus 5 is available in three color options, black, red and white.

Google packed this phone with an awesome 5" display, and a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, giving this cellphone a perfect graphic quality. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This phone ships with a very fast Quad-Core CPU running at 2.26 GHz, included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 system chip with a large 2 GB of RAM memory. To handle graphic rendering, it also has an Adreno 330 GPU working at 450 MHz. This cellphone comes with a 16 GB interesting internal storage and while it doesn't count with a slot for external memory cards, it should be enough to install hundreds of apps and games, but it may not be enough if you are fan of the heaviest games available nowadays or taking tons of pictures and videos.

This device has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera. This phone can also capture 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 fps. This camera also features lots of interesting features like flash, auto-focus, fast burst mode, optical image stabilization, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone counts with WiFi connection (which it can share with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high speed connectivity and also HSPA+ connection type, which is a slower 4G type and 3G fast connectivity, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a Micro SIM card for GSM connection and it can use both GSM and CDMA.

This cellphone comes with a 2300 mAh massive Li-Polymer non-removable battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you may find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some heavy use. According to Google, this cellphone has an estimated 300 hours stand by time and a 17 hs talk time. An issue to evaluate is that the Google Nexus 5's battery isn't replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to lose its charge, while with its 2300 mAh you will probably discard this cellphone before it happens.

This cellphone also features a great numbre of great features like Wireless charging capability, NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your device close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

This phone costs about 305 dollars, which is not a very good offer for this kind of cellphone. No matter if you will use it for work, will use it majorly for internet broswing and social networks, want it to play games or you love taking photos, you will definitely love this cellphone.
