The OnePlus 8 has an overall score of 76, which is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1)'s general score of 73.1. OnePlus 8 is a just a little thinner cellphone than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), but they weight 6.35oz. OnePlus 8 features a bit more powerful processor than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 8 also has a greater amount of RAM.

The OnePlus 8 counts with a slightly better looking display than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because it has way more screen brightness, a quite larger display, a bit higher display pixels density and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has a much greater memory capacity for apps and games than OnePlus 8, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has improved battery life than OnePlus 8, because it has a 16 percent greater battery size. OnePlus 8 has a very superior camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, the OnePlus 8 also has a way higher resolution back-facing camera, higher video frame rates and a larger aperture for better captures and video in low-light environments.

Although OnePlus 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the OnePlus 8, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), giving up some specs and features.
