The Galaxy Note9 is much better than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), getting a overall score of 87.1 against 73.1. Even being the best in this review, Galaxy Note9 is a just a little thicker and somewhat heavier phone than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). Galaxy Note9 has a bit more vivid display than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because it has a greater screen pixel density, a little bigger screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 counts with a bit better processing unit than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has 2 GB more RAM. Galaxy Note9 features just a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back facing camera with lesser mega pixels, it also counts with a much larger camera aperture to capture better low light photos.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) features a slightly better storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with improved battery performance than Galaxy Note9, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 4000mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 is a lot more expensive than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
