The Xperia XZ3 is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), with a 79.6 score against 73.1. These phones have the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (Operating System), so both should give you identical operating system features. The Xperia XZ3 body is thicker and a little heavier than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1).

Xperia XZ3 has a bit sharper display than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have a same size display, the Xperia XZ3 also has a higher 1440 x 2880 resolution, a higher display pixels density and a little bit brighter display. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 features just a bit better processing power than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Xperia XZ3 has a better camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have the same video definition, the Xperia XZ3 also has a camera in the back with a much better resolution, faster video frame rate and a larger aperture to capture better low light images and video.

Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia XZ3, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), letting go some features and specs.
