The Asus ROG Phone 5 has an overall score of 84.7, which is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2)'s general score of 77.4. Even though the Asus ROG Phone 5 is a lot newer than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), it is somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier. Asus ROG Phone 5 has a little bit better hardware performance than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has 2 GB more RAM.
Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with a bit better looking screen than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because although it has a little bit lower pixel quantity per inch in the screen, it also counts with a really brighter screen, a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2448 pixels and a little bit larger display. The Asus ROG Phone 5 captures much better photographs and videos than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have a same size aperture, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has a way higher video definition, a way bigger sensor and a lot more mega-pixels back facing camera.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features a very superior storage to store more games and applications than Asus ROG Phone 5, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. The Asus ROG Phone 5 features better battery duration than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity against 5000mAh.
