BLU Studio 5.0 S II has a global score of 51.2, which is slightly better than the BLU Advance 4.0's 46.9 score. BLU Studio 5.0 S II is a noticeably thinner but much heavier phone than the BLU Advance 4.0. These phones include the same Android 4.2 OS, so you shouldn't notice any difference in that aspect.

The BLU Advance 4.0 features a little more vivid display than BLU Studio 5.0 S II, because although it has a lot smaller display and a little lower resolution of 800 x 480, it also counts with a just a bit better pixel density. The BLU Advance 4.0 features a better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than BLU Studio 5.0 S II, and although they both have equal 4 GB internal storage capacity, the BLU Advance 4.0 also has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB.

The BLU Advance 4.0 has a bit faster processor than BLU Studio 5.0 S II, because although it has a lower number of 1.3 gigahertz cores and 512 MB lesser RAM, it also counts with a better GPU working at 1000 megahertz. BLU Studio 5.0 S II counts with better battery duration than BLU Advance 4.0, because it has a 25% bigger battery size.

The BLU Studio 5.0 S II counts with a much better camera than BLU Advance 4.0, because it has a lot better 8 MP resolution back camera and a much better video quality.
