Comparison review
Coolpad Catalyst is just a bit better than BLU Dash 5.0, having a global score of 52.1 against 47.5. Both devices we are comparing here work with Android OS (operating system), but the Coolpad Catalyst has a more recent 5.1 Lollipop version while BLU Dash 5.0 has Android 4.2 version. Coolpad Catalyst's design is somewhat thicker but just a bit lighter than BLU Dash 5.0.
BLU Dash 5.0 has a much better display than Coolpad Catalyst. Both of them have the same pixel density, exactly the same resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and a screen with the same size. The Coolpad Catalyst features slightly more storage for applications and games than BLU Dash 5.0, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 4 GB more internal storage.
The BLU Dash 5.0 features a little faster processing unit than Coolpad Catalyst, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster) and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. The Coolpad Catalyst captures much clearer pictures and videos than BLU Dash 5.0. They have the same resolution back camera, the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video quality.
The Coolpad Catalyst counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than BLU Dash 5.0, because it has 2200mAh of battery capacity.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we compare here, Coolpad Catalyst is also cheap compared to the BLU Dash 5.0, which makes this phone a simple decision.
