Galaxy A40 has a global score of 79.6, which is a bit better than the Fairphone 5's global score of 75.5. The Galaxy A40 is an a lot older phone than the Fairphone 5, but it's extremely lighter and thinner anyway. These devices come with Android operating system, but Galaxy A40 has the previous 11 version and Fairphone 5 has Android 13 version.
The Fairphone 5 has just a bit better display than Galaxy A40, because it has a just a little higher amount of pixels per inch in the screen, a slightly higher resolution of 1224 x 2700 pixels and a bit bigger screen. Fairphone 5 has just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have 8 cores, the Fairphone 5 also has more RAM.
Fairphone 5 has a better memory for games and applications than Galaxy A40, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
