The Samsung Galaxy M21 is much better than the Fairphone 5, with an 84.1 score against 75.5. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy M21 has older 11 version and Fairphone 5 has Android 13 version. Even though Samsung Galaxy M21 is noticeably older than Fairphone 5, it's body is lighter and a bit thinner.
Fairphone 5 has a slightly better display than Galaxy M21, because it has a just a little greater display pixel density, a slightly better resolution of 1224 x 2700px, a lot brighter screen and a little larger display. Fairphone 5 features a better storage for applications and games than Galaxy M21, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory capacity.
Fairphone 5 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy M21, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Fairphone 5 also has 4 GB more RAM memory. The Galaxy M21 counts with a greater camera than Fairphone 5, although it has a lot tinier back camera sensor which gives a much lower photo and video quality, a tinier aperture which is worse for low-light photography and a back facing camera with a lower 48 MP resolution.
