Galaxy Note 3 is slightly better than the Fairphone 5, having an 81.2 score against 75.5. The Galaxy Note 3 construction is lighter and thinner than the Fairphone 5, although it was released 10 years before. Both phones in this review come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Note 3 has an older 5.0 version and Fairphone 5 has Android 13.
Fairphone 5 features just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because it has a just a little higher pixels quantity per inch in the screen, a better resolution of 1224 x 2700px and a bit larger screen. The Fairphone 5 has a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
Fairphone 5 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with 5 GB more RAM and a larger number of cores. The Galaxy Note 3 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Fairphone 5, although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not so good for capturing photographs and/or video in low-light environments, a way tinier sensor and a lot lower resolution back camera.
The Fairphone 5 counts with longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Note 3, because it has a 31 percent greater battery capacity.
