Galaxy S8 has a global score of 81.7, which is a bit better than Fairphone 5's 75.5 general score. Galaxy S8's construction is a lot lighter and thinner than Fairphone 5, even though it was released 7 years before. Fairphone 5 has a little sharper display than Galaxy S8, because although it has a just a little lower pixel density and a bit worse 1224 x 2700 resolution, it also counts with a quite bigger display.
Fairphone 5 counts with a little better processing power than Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Fairphone 5 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Fairphone 5 has a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S8, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
Fairphone 5 features a way better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy S8 features a bit better camera than Fairphone 5, because although it has a lot tinier sensor and a lot worse 12 MP resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a bigger aperture.
