Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a bit better than Fairphone 5, with a global score of 76.6 against 75.5. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has the previous 10 version while Fairphone 5 has Android 13 version. Even though Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is noticeably older than Fairphone 5, it's construction is a bit lighter and just a bit thinner.
The Fairphone 5 counts with just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Fairphone 5 also has a larger amount of RAM. Fairphone 5 has a more vivid screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a same size display, the Fairphone 5 also has a bit higher 1224 x 2700 resolution and a bit better pixel number in each inch in the display.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a better camera than Fairphone 5, because although it has a lower resolution camera and a lot tinier sensor shooting lot worse quality images and videos, it also counts with a bigger aperture for better photography and videos in poorly lited environments. Fairphone 5 counts with a much greater storage for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features superior battery duration than Fairphone 5, because it has a 20 percent bigger battery size.
