Xperia S is slightly better than the Gionee Marathon M4, having a 63.8 score against 58.2. Xperia S is a noticeably older and a little thicker phone than the Gionee Marathon M4, but Sony managed to make it somewhat lighter anyway. Both phones in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia S has 4.1 version while Gionee Marathon M4 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version.
The Xperia S counts with a better looking display than Gionee Marathon M4, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 720px, the Xperia S also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. Xperia S features a bit more storage capacity for apps and games than Gionee Marathon M4, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage.
The Sony Xperia S has a bit superior processing unit than Gionee Marathon M4, because although it has a lower number of cores (but faster) and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics co-processor. Xperia S takes much better videos and photos than Gionee Marathon M4, because although it has lower 29 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Xperia S also counts with a back-facing camera with much more mega pixels.
Gionee Marathon M4 counts with a way better battery performance than Sony Xperia S, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
Despite of being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, Xperia S is also a bargain compared to the other phones, making it a no doubt choice.
