The LG G5 has a global score of 76.1, which is slightly better than Google Nexus 5's general score of 76. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but LG G5 has newer 8.0 Oreo version and Google Nexus 5 has Android 4.4.3, providing the user a lot of extra features and enhanced performance. Even though LG G5 is somewhat heavier than Google Nexus 5, it's thinner and noticeably newer.

The Google Nexus 5 counts with a little faster CPU than LG G5, because although it has less RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with a graphics processor. The Google Nexus 5 features a bit sharper screen than LG G5, although it has a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080, a bit worse display density and a quite smaller display.

The LG G5 takes much better photographs and videos than Google Nexus 5, because it has a back-facing camera with way more mega-pixels, a larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a lot larger aperture and a lot better (4K) video quality. The LG G5 has a way bigger memory for games and applications than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the LG G5 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.

LG G5 has superior battery lifetime than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 22 percent bigger battery capacity.

Although LG G5 is a better device, it costs a bit more money than Google Nexus 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Nexus 5. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the LG G5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Nexus 5, letting go a couple features and specs.
