The Motorola Moto Z2 Play is a little bit better than Google Nexus 5, with a score of 77.4 against 76. Motorola Moto Z2 Play's construction is extremely newer and noticeably thinner than Google Nexus 5's, although it is also somewhat heavier. The Google Nexus 5 counts with a better screen than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1920 x 1080px resolution, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with a just a little greater amount of pixels in each screen inch.
Moto Z2 Play has a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Google Nexus 5, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage. The Google Nexus 5 features a bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and a lower number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an extra GPU.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with better battery lifetime than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 30% bigger battery capacity. The Moto Z2 Play features a much better camera than Google Nexus 5, because it has a lot bigger camera aperture to capture better low-light photos, a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
Despite of being the best phone in our comparison, Moto Z2 Play is also a bargain compared to others, making it an obvious call.
