Google Nexus 6P is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, getting a global score of 80.3 against 79.3. The Google Nexus 6P design is a bit thinner but just a little heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and both were released with only 3 months difference. Google Nexus 6P features a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a higher number of cores (although they are slower).
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features just a bit better display than Google Nexus 6P. Both have a screen of the same size, an equal 2560 x 1440 resolution and the same display density. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Google Nexus 6P, because although it has a smaller camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a larger aperture for better low light photography and video and a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.

Although Google Nexus 6P is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy Note 5, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
