Comparison review
The iPhone 8 is slightly better than Google Pixel 2 XL, having a general score of 85 against 82.5. IPhone 8's body is lighter and just a little bit thinner than the Google Pixel 2 XL, although they were released only a couple months apart. The Apple iPhone 8 features a little better processing power than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has lesser cpu cores (although faster) and 2 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with a 64 bits processor.
The Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a little bit better looking screen than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a much better 1440 x 2880 resolution, a lot better display pixels density and a bigger display. The Apple iPhone 8 has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity.
Apple iPhone 8 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a smaller sensor which provides a worse image and video quality and a less mega-pixels back facing camera, they both have the same aperture. Google Pixel 2 XL has a very superior battery life than Apple iPhone 8, because it has 3520mAh of battery capacity.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Pixel 2 XL. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Google Pixel 2 XL, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
