Google Pixel 2 XL has a global score of 82.5, which is a bit better than the Moto Z4's 79.8 overall score. Although it's the best in this review, we must tell that it is also an older, a little heavier and just a little thicker phone. Google Pixel 2 XL has a bit more powerful processor than Motorola Moto Z4. They have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores.
Google Pixel 2 XL has a slightly better screen than Moto Z4, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and more pixels per display inch. Moto Z4 features a very superior memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Moto Z4 also has an external SD slot that admits up to 512 GB.
Motorola Moto Z4 features a superior camera than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Motorola Moto Z4 also has a back camera with much more mega-pixels, a larger aperture and a much larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Moto Z4 features a bit superior battery duration than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 2% more battery capacity.
