Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 has an overall score of 87.1, which is a little bit better than the Google Pixel 2 XL's overall score of 82.5. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 body is newer, but heavier and somewhat thicker than Google Pixel 2 XL. The Galaxy Note9 counts with a bit faster CPU than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note9 also has a greater amount of RAM.

Google Pixel 2 XL and Galaxy Note9 both feature really similar displays, because although the Galaxy Note9 has a little less pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 and a quite bigger display. Samsung Galaxy Note9 counts with a much greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has an external memory slot that holds up to 512 GB.

The Galaxy Note9 counts with a little better battery duration than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. The Galaxy Note9 takes just a bit better photos and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a back camera with less MP and a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a bigger aperture for better low light captures and video and a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 2 XL. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Google Pixel 2 XL, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
