The Google Pixel 2 has a score of 81.6, which is just a bit better than Asus ROG Phone's score of 77.1. Although the Google Pixel 2 is older than Asus ROG Phone, it's design is just a little thinner and way lighter. The Asus ROG Phone features a bit sharper screen than Google Pixel 2, because although it has a just a little worse pixels density, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2160px and a larger display.
The Asus ROG Phone features a bit better CPU than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Asus ROG Phone also has more RAM memory. Asus ROG Phone has a much greater storage to install games and applications than Google Pixel 2, because it has 512 GB internal memory capacity. Asus ROG Phone counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Google Pixel 2, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2700mAh.
Google Pixel 2 shoots greater photos and videos than Asus ROG Phone, although it has a tinier back camera sensor capturing worse quality videos and photos and worse video frame rate, they both have the same video definition and a F1.8 aperture.
Despite of being the best phone in this comparison, the Google Pixel 2 is also by far the cheapest, which makes this phone a no doubt choice.
