Huawei Mate X has a score of 89.4, which is a little bit better than the Google Pixel 2's overall score of 81.6. The Huawei Mate X body is newer than the Google Pixel 2's, although it's a lot heavier and noticeably thicker. Huawei Mate X and Google Pixel 2 count with very similar displays, because although the Huawei Mate X has a just a bit lower display density, it also counts with a really larger display and a much higher resolution of 2200 x 2480.
Huawei Mate X has a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Google Pixel 2, because it has 512 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate X features a little bit better performance than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate X also has more RAM.
The Huawei Mate X features a very superior battery life than Google Pixel 2, because it has a 67 percent more battery size. The Google Pixel 2 has a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a much worse resolution camera in the back and a lot tinier camera sensor capturing much lower quality images and videos, they both have a F1.8 aperture.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 2. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Pixel 2, giving up a couple specifications.
