Huawei P30 is slightly better than the Google Pixel 2, getting a overall score of 81.7 against 81.6. Huawei P30's body is newer and a little thinner than the Google Pixel 2's, but it's also heavier. Google Pixel 2 has a bit better looking display than Huawei P30, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920, it also counts with a quite higher display density.
Huawei P30 has a bit better processing power than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P30 also has 2 GB more RAM. Huawei P30 takes much better photos and videos than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Huawei P30 also has a way better resolution back facing camera and a lot larger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Google Pixel 2 and the Huawei P30 count with similar storage for games and applications, both have equal internal storage. Huawei P30 features a way better battery performance than Google Pixel 2, because it has 3650mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei P30 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 2. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei P30, else you can save some dollars and get the Google Pixel 2, giving up a couple specifications.
