Comparison review
Galaxy A50 is a little bit better than Google Pixel 2, with a general score of 83.8 against 81.6. The Galaxy A50 body is newer and a bit thinner than Google Pixel 2's, but it's somewhat heavier. Google Pixel 2 features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy A50, because although it has a lot smaller display and a bit lower 1080 x 1920px resolution, it also counts with a little bit better amount of pixels in each inch in the screen.
The Galaxy A50's CPU is very similar to Google Pixel 2's processing unit, both have 8 cpu cores and 4 GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A50 features a much greater storage to store more games and applications than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A50 also has an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Galaxy A50 captures a bit better photos and videos than Google Pixel 2, because although it has a tinier sensor taking lower quality videos and photos, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy A50 also counts with a larger diafragm aperture for better low-light photos and videos and a much better resolution camera in the back.
Galaxy A50 has a really longer battery performance than Google Pixel 2, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 2700mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy A50 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 2. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Google Pixel 2, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
