Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A71 is just a bit better than Google Pixel 2, getting a score of 87.5 against 81.6. The Samsung Galaxy A71 body is way newer and just a little bit thinner, but heavier than the Google Pixel 2. Galaxy A71 has a processing unit that is just as good as the Google Pixel 2 one, and although the Galaxy A71 has a greater amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Google Pixel 2 has a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A71, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a much smaller display, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per screen inch. Samsung Galaxy A71 has a greater camera than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have the same video resolution, a same size diafragm aperture and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A71 also has a lot larger sensor which offers a lot higher photo and video quality and a back-facing camera with a much higher resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A71 has much more memory for games and applications than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A71 also has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 512 GB. Galaxy A71 features a way better battery life than Google Pixel 2, because it has a 67% greater battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy A71 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Pixel 2. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy A71, else you can save some dollars and buy the Google Pixel 2, giving up some specifications.
