Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a camera that is very similar to Google Pixel 2's camera, because although the Samsung Galaxy S8 has a worse (4K) video quality and a worse resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a larger back camera sensor and a larger aperture to capture better low light captures and video.

Although Galaxy S8 is a better device, it is more expensive than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 2. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy S8, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel 2, resigning a couple features and specifications.
