Comparison review
Galaxy S8 Active is slightly better than the Google Pixel 2, having an 81.9 score against 81.6. Galaxy S8 Active is a noticeably thicker and heavier cellphone than Google Pixel 2. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a little sharper screen than Google Pixel 2, because it has a much higher resolution of 1440 x 2960, a larger screen and a better display density.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a slightly better memory for games and applications than Google Pixel 2, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. Galaxy S8 Active's CPU is just as good as the Google Pixel 2 one, they have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM.
Google Pixel 2 and Galaxy S8 Active have incredibly similar cameras, because although the Galaxy S8 Active has a lower video resolution and a lower resolution camera, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light photos and video and a bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting higher quality pictures.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a really longer battery performance than Google Pixel 2, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh.
Although Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Pixel 2. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Google Pixel 2, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
