Comparison review

Xperia 1 is slightly better than the Google Pixel 2, having a global score of 82.6 against 81.6. Xperia 1's body is newer than Google Pixel 2's, but it is just a little thicker and somewhat heavier. The Xperia 1 has just a bit better hardware performance than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 1 also has 2 GB more RAM.

Xperia 1 features a brighter screen than Google Pixel 2, because it has a greater pixels quantity in each inch in the screen, a much better 1644 x 3840px resolution and a larger screen. The Xperia 1 counts with a much greater storage for games and applications than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 512 GB.

Google Pixel 2 and Xperia 1 count with similar cameras, because although the Xperia 1 has a lower 3840x2160 video definition and a back camera with a lower resolution, and they both have a same size camera sensor, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better images in poorly lited situations.

The Xperia 1 counts with superior battery life than Google Pixel 2, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 2. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia 1, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Pixel 2, letting go a couple features and specs.
