Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Premium is just a bit better than Google Pixel 2, having an 82.2 score against 81.6. The Xperia XZ2 Premium body is newer, but a lot heavier and noticeably thicker than the Google Pixel 2. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much more vibrant screen than Google Pixel 2, because it has a lot higher pixels number per inch of screen, a much higher 2160 x 3840 resolution and a larger display.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features just a little better processing power than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a greater memory capacity for applications and games than Google Pixel 2, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium captures slightly better pictures and videos than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the same 30 fps video frame rate and a same size aperture, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a bigger camera sensor shooting better quality photographs and a lot more mega pixels back facing camera.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has improved battery duration than Google Pixel 2, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 2. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Google Pixel 2, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
