Sony Xperia 5 has an overall score of 81, which is a bit better than the Google Pixel 3 XL's global score of 80.7. The Sony Xperia 5 design is newer and somewhat lighter, but also a little thicker than the Google Pixel 3 XL. The Sony Xperia 5 features a bit more powerful processor than Google Pixel 3 XL, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a greater amount of RAM.

Google Pixel 3 XL has a bit more vivid screen than Xperia 5, because it has a better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution, a little bit larger screen and a little bit greater screen pixels density. The Sony Xperia 5 features a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 3 XL, because it has an external memory slot that holds up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory.

The Xperia 5 has a camera that's very similar to Google Pixel 3 XL's camera, because although the Xperia 5 has a worse video definition, a less MP resolution back camera and a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking worse quality videos and photos, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to capture better captures and video in low light environments.
