The Galaxy Note9 has a general score of 87.1, which is much better than the Google Pixel 3a XL's 78.9 score. Galaxy Note9 is an a bit thicker and heavier phone than Google Pixel 3a XL. Galaxy Note9 features just a little better performance than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy Note9 also has a greater amount of RAM.

The Galaxy Note9 has a little bit better display than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a better 1440 x 2960 resolution, a better number of pixels per inch in the screen and a bit bigger screen. The Galaxy Note9 has a way bigger storage for apps and games than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage.

The Galaxy Note9 features a bit better battery performance than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3700mAh. The Galaxy Note9 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a less megapixels resolution camera and a worse (4K) video quality, and they both have a same size sensor, the Galaxy Note9 also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better photos in poorly lited environments.

Although Galaxy Note9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Pixel 3a XL. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Note9, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Google Pixel 3a XL, letting go some features and specifications.
