Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 has a global score of 79.1, which is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 3a's 78.8 general score. Although it's the best cellphone in this comparison review, we must tell that it is also older, a lot thicker and heavier. The Xperia XZ2 features a little faster processing unit than Google Pixel 3a. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM memory and 8 processing cores.
Xperia XZ2 has a bit better looking screen than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has a bit lower pixel density and a bit lower 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, it also counts with a little larger display. The Sony Xperia XZ2 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting images or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality, a much more mega-pixels back-facing camera and higher video frame rates.
The Xperia XZ2 counts with much more memory for apps and games than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia XZ2 also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB. Xperia XZ2 has a bit longer battery life than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a 3180mAh battery size.
