Google Pixel 5 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Note9, getting a score of 89 against 87.1. The Google Pixel 5 construction is noticeably newer, thinner and lighter than Samsung Galaxy Note9. Galaxy Note9 has a little bit better performance than Google Pixel 5, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
Galaxy Note9 has just a bit better looking display than Google Pixel 5, because it has a quite higher pixels density, a quite bigger display and a better 1440 x 2960 resolution. The Galaxy Note9 features a much greater memory for games and applications than Google Pixel 5, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Note9 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 512 GB.
Galaxy Note9 has a camera that's very similar to Google Pixel 5's camera, because although the Galaxy Note9 has a back-facing camera with a lower 12 MP resolution and a lower video resolution, and they both have a same size sensor, it also counts with a bigger aperture for better photos in poorly lited situations.
Google Pixel 5 has a bit longer battery life than Galaxy Note9, because it has 4080mAh of battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel 5 is a better device, it costs more than the Galaxy Note9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Note9. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Google Pixel 5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Note9, giving up some features and specs.
