Google Pixel XL has a score of 81.3, which is a little bit better than the Huawei P40 Lite's global score of 79.5. Google Pixel XL's design has the same thickness than Huawei P40 Lite, but it's just a bit lighter. The Huawei P40 Lite counts with just a little better performance than Google Pixel XL, because it has a greater amount of RAM and a larger number of cores (and also faster).
Google Pixel XL has a little more vivid screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a better screen pixel density. The Huawei P40 Lite shoots better photographs and videos than Google Pixel XL, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a much better resolution back facing camera, a larger back-facing camera sensor which provides a better photo and video quality and a larger aperture to take better low light captures and video.

Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P40 Lite. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Google Pixel XL, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up some specifications.
