The Google Pixel XL is a incredibly older and way thicker cellphone than Microsoft Surface Duo, but Google managed to build it lighter anyway. Google Pixel XL counts with a bit better display than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a much smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen. Google Pixel XL shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has slower 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same diafragm aperture, the Google Pixel XL also counts with a more megapixels back-facing camera.
The Microsoft Surface Duo counts with as much storage for games and applications as the Google Pixel XL, both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity. Microsoft Surface Duo features a bit better battery lifetime than Google Pixel XL, because it has 3577mAh of battery capacity against 3450mAh.
Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it costs a lot more than Microsoft Surface Duo, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface Duo. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Google Pixel XL, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface Duo, giving up a couple features and specs.
