The Google Pixel XL has an overall score of 81.3, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Edge 40's general score of 77.2. Although Google Pixel XL is better than Motorola Edge 40, it must be noted that it is also a noticeably older, somewhat thicker and a little bit heavier device. The Google Pixel XL counts with a very superior hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has an inferior number of cores and less RAM memory.

Motorola Edge 40 shoots much better photographs and videos than Google Pixel XL, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a camera in the back with a lot higher 50 megapixels resolution, a lot larger camera aperture to capture better low light captures and video and a lot bigger back camera sensor providing a way better image quality.
