The Google Pixel XL is a little bit better than the Moto Z2 Play, having an 81.3 score against 77.4. Although it's the best we compare here, it must be noted that it's also a heavier and much thicker device. Google Pixel XL has a little more vivid screen than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Google Pixel XL also has a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a higher pixels density.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a little faster processing unit than Google Pixel XL, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Motorola Moto Z2 Play also has a higher number of faster cores. Motorola Moto Z2 Play has a way bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Google Pixel XL, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that supports up to 1,95 TB.
The Google Pixel XL counts with a bit longer battery performance than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 15% bigger battery size. Google Pixel XL features just a bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low light captures and video, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Google Pixel XL also counts with a camera in the back with a higher 12.3 megapixels resolution.
Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Motorola Moto Z2 Play. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Motorola Moto Z2 Play, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
