Google Pixel XL has a global score of 81.3, which is a little bit better than Galaxy S7 Active's score of 75.8. Even though the Google Pixel XL and the Galaxy S7 Active were only released with a few months difference, the Google Pixel XL is just a bit lighter and thinner. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has a CPU that is very similar to the Google Pixel XL one, both of them have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has just a bit better display than Google Pixel XL, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same 1440 x 2560 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active also counts with a little greater pixels density. Google Pixel XL captures a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Google Pixel XL also counts with a camera in the back with a higher resolution.
The Google Pixel XL features more storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy S7 Active has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel XL, because it has a 16 percent greater battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S7 Active. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Pixel XL, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S7 Active, letting go some specifications.
