The Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is better than Honor 50's 74.5 score. These devices come with Android OS, but Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Honor 50 has Android 11 version, so it counts with lots of additional features. The Galaxy A8 Star design has the same thickness than Honor 50, but it is a little heavier.
Galaxy A8 Star features a screen that's just as good as the display in Honor 50, because although the Galaxy A8 Star has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels and a little smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher pixels number per inch of screen. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a quite bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Honor 50, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB.
The Honor 50 counts with a little faster processing unit than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Honor 50 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Honor 50 features just a little better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 16% more battery capacity.
The Honor 50 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for capturing pictures and video in low light environments, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Honor 50 also counts with a camera with much more MP.
