Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is a bit better than the Honor 9X Pro, with a global score of 77.4 against 71.9. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has newer 9.0 Pie version while Honor 9X Pro has Android 10 version. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is an older cellphone than the Honor 9X Pro, but it is lighter and just a bit thinner anyway.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a little sharper display than Honor 9X Pro, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2280 and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit higher display density. Honor 9X Pro has just a bit more memory capacity to install games and applications than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because although it has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) counts with a CPU that is just as good as Honor 9X Pro's CPU, they have the same RAM memory amount and 8 cpu cores. The Honor 9X Pro shoots much clearer photos and videos than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have a same size aperture and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Honor 9X Pro also has a way larger camera sensor providing a much higher image quality, higher 60 frames per second video frame rates and a way higher resolution back facing camera.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features improved battery performance than Honor 9X Pro, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
