Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 is a bit better than the Honor 9X Pro, with a 77.4 score against 71.9. Although the Huawei Mate 8 is noticeably older than the Honor 9X Pro, it's body is thinner and somewhat lighter. Honor 9X Pro counts with a bit more vivid display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2340px, a quite bigger display and a just a little better display pixels density.
The Huawei Mate 8 and Honor 9X Pro feature really similar processing units, and although the Huawei Mate 8 has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Honor 9X Pro features a superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that supports up to 512 GB.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a battery lifetime that is very similar to the Honor 9X Pro one. The Honor 9X Pro has a better camera than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have the same video quality and the same 60 fps video frame rate, the Honor 9X Pro also has a much more megapixels back-facing camera and a larger camera aperture for better captures in low light situations.
